ARACHNIDS MUSEUM with big exhibition of live spiders and scorpions

opened its doors on 15 February 2021 in the BTC CITY shopping center in Ljubljana, Slovenia. You could see the wonderful world of spiders and scorpions until 15 May 2021.

In addition to the exhibits and educational posters, the museum also had an exhibition with more than 80 species of live spiders and scorpions, in beautifully designed and equipped terrariums. Among them you can also find the infamous black widows from different parts of the world and the most venomous species of scorpions.

Description of the exhibition

On 15 February 2021, the Arachnids Museum opened its doors in the BTC City Ljubljana shopping center, with a large exhibition of spiders and scorpions coming from Sašo Čotar’s private collection. The museum had its doors open to visitors until 15 May 2021.The museum’s exhibition featured over 80 different species of arachnids from all over the world, from America, Africa, Europe, Asia to Australia. There was no shortage of tarantulas, black widows and scorpions. Geographically and color-diverse species of many tarantulas were exhibited, including the largest species of spiders in the world. Also on display were extremely interesting dwarf species of tarantulas and many different species of black widows from different parts of the world. Among them is the Australian Black Widow, one of the three deadliest spiders in the world.The spiders were also accompanied by scorpions, so there was no shortage of the largest and not the most venomous, as it was possible to see the five most venomous species in the world.Visitors were able to get acquainted with the general characteristics of these animals through educational posters, and each terrarium was also equipped with information on the specific characteristics of each species.
